Dan Panitz
Principal
Dan Panitz has over 20 years of experience in community and faith-based real estate projects, including joint ventures, leasing transactions, and acquisitions involving religious institutions, third-party investors, and his own initiatives.
As Senior Asset Manager for the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, Mr. Panitz acquired extensive experience working with clergy, trustees, vestry members, and parishioners. He managed over 20 development projects for the Diocese, which includes more than 130 churches. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of church properties in dioceses across the country.
Mr. Panitz is the founder of Knight Properties, LLC, a firm specializing in real estate acquisitions, property development, and brokerage. He has participated in property development transactions totaling over 1,000,000 gross square feet in the New York City metropolitan area. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Bricks & Mortals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering houses of worship from various denominations to develop their real estate assets.
As a consultant for Landmark Properties, Mr. Panitz assisted in property acquisitions, negotiated master leases with higher education institutions, participated in public relations campaigns, and provided land use and zoning analyses.
Mr. Panitz and his colleagues successfully raised over $1 million in a single event for Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, benefiting the hospital's autism program for children.
In addition, Mr. Panitz has consulted for Capalino and Company, one of New York City's premier lobbying firms, where he advised real estate developers, investors, and institutions on multifamily housing, affordable housing, student housing, community facility use, and zoning requirements.
Born in Queens, New York, Mr. Panitz attended Holy Cross High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University, where he was awarded a full Division I athletic scholarship, and earned a master’s degree from the New School for Social Research Graduate Faculty in New York.
